Discover an eye exam tailored to what matters most

A comprehensive eye exam goes beyond updating your glasses prescription. We assess vision, eye health, and symptoms that may signal early disease, using tools that enable us to track changes over time.

Your exam may include:

  • Visual acuity and prescription check
  • Screening for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia
  • Retinal and macular health evaluation
  • Intraocular pressure and optic nerve screening (for glaucoma)
  • Tear film and corneal surface assessment (especially for contact lens wearers or dry eye)

Each eye exam is tailored to your health history, age, and daily vision use, whether at work, school, or in front of a screen.

Eye Exams For Children & Teens (Ages 5+)

We see children starting at age five. Pediatric exams check visual development, eye teaming, and early signs of myopia (nearsightedness).

If needed, we offer evidence-based myopia control options:

  • Low-dose atropine drops
  • Ortho-k (overnight lenses)
  • Daily soft lenses for myopia management
  • Biometric axial length monitoring to track progression over time

In-Office Diagnostic Imaging at Eyes of the Marina Optometry

We use in-house diagnostic tools to support accurate diagnosis, specialty lens fitting, and long-term disease management, without outsourcing your care.

Our technology includes:

  • OCT imaging for the optic nerve and retina
  • Corneal topography for contact lens fittings and corneal mapping
  • Axial length measurement for tracking progressive myopia
  • Meibomian gland imaging for dry eye diagnostics
  • Optic nerve screening for early glaucoma detection

Imaging is only recommended when medically relevant, and always explained during your visit.

A Consistent, Patient-Centred Eye Exam

Our patients are seen by eye doctors who are familiar with their medical history. We don’t rotate providers or push unnecessary testing.

Your exam is designed to give you a clear picture of your eye health and a plan you can understand.
